When loss, change, or disasters occur, children, families, and educators can be impacted in many different ways. Through 1:1, small group, whole class and community wide initiatives, Royal Far West engages with students, parents/carers, and school staff to provide meaningful, evidence-informed support.
During a recent visit to Eugowra Public School and Eugowra Children’s Community Centre the Royal Far West team facilitated a range of activities including:
- Therapy and assessment supports for children
- Storytelling + classroom sessions to support emotional expression
- Parent workshop on managing technology at home with children and supporting sleep routines
These initiatives are designed to strengthen resilience, foster connection, and promote recovery across the whole school community.

Funded under the Disaster Ready Fund – an Australian Government Initiative, with support from both the Australian Government and the NSW Government.
