View current vacanciesWe’ve been dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Australia’s country kids for more than 95 years.
Since 1924, we have been connecting children and young people in regional and remote communities to the health and developmental care they need.
There are over 180,000 children in these communities whose health and development needs can’t be met locally. We want every child we support to have the best chance of realising their potential, and it’s that thought that inspires our work everyday.
Opportunities exist across a range of integrated health, medical, academic and disability services, as well as marketing, fundraising and administrative roles.
We are proudly an equal opportunity employer and encourage diversity throughout our workplace.

Flexibility
As an organisation focused on improving the health and wellbeing of country kids, the health and wellbeing of our team is equally important.
Royal Far West is powered with technology and systems that allow us to be agile, mobile, innovative and connected – from our Centre in Manly, out in the field or from home. While in the office, our employees can choose from a variety of workspaces – from standing desks, quiet pods or meeting rooms fitted with technology to allow for remote access. Additionally, we offer a variety of flexi-work arrangements such as remote work, flexible hours and additional support to accommodate the diverse, modern-life requirements of our team.
Culture
Royal Far West offers a friendly, inclusive culture where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We are a heritage charity that’s young at heart.
With a rich history of innovation, today, we continue to harness that pioneering spirit – ensuring that no distance is too far to support country kids to reach their full potential.
Renowned for integrity, our team are energetic, respectful, and caring in the work they do. We place a high priority on employee wellness and mental health, promote sustainable working norms and encourage smart working practices for all of our team.
In 2021, we were honoured to be recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Best Places to Work in the prestigious annual list published by The Australian Financial Review and Boss Magazine.

Location
Our Centre for Country Kids, including our main office hub, is located at Manly Beach in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
It has good access to public transport via bus or ferry, as well as parking options.
It is conveniently located to a range of shops and amenities, and is the perfect location for a swim, surf or stroll before or after work.
Salary Packaging
By salary packaging, up to $15,900 of your wages can be paid tax free each year.
One of the many benefits of working for Royal Far West is the option you have to take advantage of salary packaging.
As a not-for-profit employee, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) allows you to pay for some of your every-day expenses like groceries, rent or mortgage before tax. Put simply, because you have spent this money pre-tax, you are receiving some of your salary tax-free each pay day, which adds up to a significant reduction in income tax.

Our History
Established in 1924, Royal Far West has a rich history of innovation, dedication, and determination to improve the health and wellbeing of children who live in rural and remote communities, connecting them to the care they need but cannot otherwise access because of where they live.
As one of Australia’s most enduring and respected charities, we consistently adapt to meet the changing needs of country children and families. We boldly go where the system stops, to wherever we are needed, using technology to ensure no child and no community is beyond our reach.
