Royal Far West's Community Recovery Services Team visit Lismore South Public School and Ngulliboo Jarjums Preschool

Two members of Royal Far West’s Community Recovery Services Team visited Lismore South Public School and Lismore South Public School Ngulliboo Jarjums Preschool in the northern rivers region from the 7th-11th of August 2023 to deliver the following:

Support for children:

  • 3x Birdies tree shared book reading and activity sessions at the primary school
  • 2x Birdies tree shared book reading and activity session at the preschool
  • The groups support children who have experienced change, with an emphasis on changes following a natural disaster.
  • The team also met with school executives, teachers and SLSO’s (School learning support officer) to deliver a professional learning workshop on emotional regulation and to discuss any areas they would like to learn more about.

We are looking forward to a continuing partnership with Lismore South public school and preschool over telecare and on future outreach visits.
