How did Nexia hear about RFW and what inspired you to partner with us?

Nine years ago, we found a connection to RFW through our client FDC in the construction industry. Inspired by RFW’s work and one of our Partners’ (Brent Goldman) personal connection to rural communities, we began supporting RFW, starting with the Ride for Country Kids. Brent’s firsthand knowledge of rural challenges deeply motivated us to support RFW’s mission.

What specific initiatives/activities have you done with RFW and how did it impact your team?

For the past nine years, Nexia has supported and participated in the Ride for Country Kids, raising crucial funds and fostering a sense of camaraderie and purpose among our team. Brent Goldman often shares how this event has deepened his connection to both the cause and his colleagues.

We also organise engagement activities in our office, instilling social responsibility and pride in our staff as they give back to the community. Our annual Nexia Golf Day raises funds for RFW, strengthens relationships with clients and partners, and has become a corporate highlight.

What are the main goals you aim to achieve through this partnership?

Our goals are to: – Create meaningful connections for our staff that drive impact and make a difference. – Align CSR (corporate social responsibility) goals with RFW. – Enhance brand recognition. – Strengthen community networks. – Support vulnerable children in rural NSW.

Is there any advice you would give to other companies considering a similar partnership?

Supporting Royal Far West is mutually beneficial. It provides staff engagement opportunities, strengthens teams, enhances CSR efforts, and boosts brand recognition.

We resonate with RFW’s mantra that “geography should not be a cause for disadvantage” and encourage other companies to support this worthy cause.
