2023 Charity Challenge Golf Day

Find out more

Thank you to all who participated in our annual Royal Far West charity golf day on 17 October at Cromer Golf Course.

The 83 golfers thoroughly enjoyed their day on the green, despite the weather being unpredictable! After an 8am tee off, teams played their way around the course with professional golfers making their way around to meet each team, give advice and encouragement along the way. Everyone was enjoying a well-earned delicious buffet lunch by 1pm. After lunch, prizes were awarded to the top teams. Congratulations to team Tecala who won the event.

An auction was held after lunch which raised $5000. These funds raised will go directly to helping country kids get the support they need through our Child and Family Services program here in Manly. Thank you to the businesses and people who generously donated auction items.  The total amount raised for the event is still to be confirmed.

A warm thank you to Whiteley Corporation for generously sponsoring the luncheon, and to all the event sponsors, thank you for your wonderful support for country kids.

‘Play’ it forward and help support country kids!

Find out more about Royal Far West

About us

Royal Far West is Australia’s only national charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of country children. We specialise in supporting children’s developmental, mental and behavioural health so they can reach their full potential.

The need

Every Australian child has the right to access quality health, education and developmental services. Where you live should not be a barrier to access services or a cause for disadvantage. But the reality is that kids living in rural and remote communities are more likely to start school developmentally vulnerable compared to kids growing up in the city.

Our history

As one of Australia’s most enduring and respected charities, we consistently adapt to meet the changing needs of country children and families. We boldly go where the system stops, to wherever we are needed, using technology to ensure no child and no community is beyond our reach.
