Charity Golf Day in Cromer raises over $20K for Royal Far West

Charity Golf Day

On Tuesday 3 March 2020, we held Royal Far West’s inaugural Golf Fundraising Day and raised over $20,000 to support country kids to access vital health and developmental care!

64 golfers teed off at the event at Cromer Golf Club, comprising our Northern Beaches community supporters and corporate friends. We were also joined by a very special guest, former Sydney Swans player, Nick Davis!

The overall winners for the day were our friends from Savills Real Estate. Our Royal Far West Team came overall 4th on the day and won closest to the pin on the 4th hole too. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the day such a huge success, especially our hole sponsors Box.com, Gateway Sports and Rehab, On the Tee, and GT Insurance, who each donated $1,200 to support us. A special shout out also to Stephanie Lade who helped out our fundraising team hugely by recommending teams and sponsors to us!

We received an amazing donation courtesy of our friends Vuly – a brand new Ultra Medium Trampoline (valued at $899!) for us to auction at the event in order to raise funds! Vuly is the manufacturer of trampolines and outdoor play equipment most trusted by parents and the Ultra Medium Trampoline is a great addition to any backyard, and offers a year-round source of family fun. Vuly monkey bars, playsets and trampolines are designed to withstand the harsh Australian climate, and include an advanced range of built-in safety features to protect the whole family. Thank you Vuly Play for your kind donation!

Lastly, we would like to say a huge thank you to The Charity Challenge, without whom this event would not have been possible.

We hope this Charity Golf Day will be the first of many for RFW. In fact, we’ve got our next one lined up already! If you are interested in participating in the next event, lock Tuesday 2 March 2021 in your diary and contact our Community Fundraising and Events Manager, Desiree (desireec@royalfarwest.org.au) to register your interest.
