Celebrating community recognition for our 100 Year Photo Exhibition

A special thank you to James Griffin MP for supporting us in presenting '100 Years of Caring for Country Kids' at NSW Parliament House

We are thrilled to share that today, Royal Far West received a community recognition statement for our photo exhibition, “100 Years of Caring for Country Kids.” The exhibition which was on display at NSW Parliament House across March 2025, showcased some of the significant milestones in our journey of providing essential medical and developmental services to children in rural and remote communities over the past 100 years.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with Royal Far West. Thank you once again to James Griffin MP and to everyone who contributed to making this exhibition a success.

COMMUNITY RECOGNITION STATEMENT
58TH PARLIAMENT OF NEW SOUTH WALES
ROYAL FAR WEST: 100 YEARS OF CARING FOR COUNTRY KIDS
PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION
20 March 2025

Mr Speaker, as I mentioned in this Chamber last year, 2024 was an important year for the Royal Far West Children’s Health Scheme, marking 100 years of providing essential medical and developmental services to children in regional and remote communities.

In celebration of this historic milestone, the NSW Parliament will be showcasing a powerful photographic exhibition which tells the story of how Royal Far West has continued to shape and transform the lives of those in need. In particular, it portrays how the Royal Far West has adapted its approaches over the last century to respond to the evolving needs of regional families.

It is a profoundly moving collection of images, and I encourage every Member in this place to take a moment of their day to drop by the exhibition and reflect on the impact of this unique, Manly-based organisation and the terrific people who dedicate their time to advancing its cause.

JAMES GRIFFIN MP
