Celebrating 100 Years of Royal Far West at Government House Vice-Regal

NSW Government House in Sydney came alive in celebration of our remarkable milestone – 100 years of Royal Far West.

In late June, the NSW Government House in Sydney came alive in celebration of our remarkable milestone – 100 years of Royal Far West. Hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, the Vice-Regal reception honoured 100 years of dedicated service to the health and wellbeing of country children. The Governor’s opening address, delivered in her role as Patron of Royal Far West, highlighted the enduring importance of supporting children in rural and remote communities.

The world premiere of ‘With Our Feet in the Sand and Our Hearts in the Bush’ was a highlight of the evening, a moving orchestral piece composed by Sydney Youth Orchestras alumnus Andrew Howes. Performed by the Sydney Youth Orchestras, the piece beautifully captured the spirit of the Australian bush and the heart of Royal Far West’s mission.

Thank you to all who joined us for this special occasion – and to the NSW Governor for her gracious support.
