Spin Off Challenge a Big Success

Our inaugural Spin Off Challenge on Manly Beachfront was nothing short of spectacular! With an incredible atmosphere and community spirit, our riders went above and beyond for country kids – raising $100,000 for Royal Far West.

On Thursday 6 November, the Manly beachfront was buzzing with energy, colour and community spirit as Royal Far West hosted its first-ever Spin Off Challenge – a dynamic fundraising event marking 100 years of supporting country kids.

The Spin Off Challenge invited local businesses, schools and community members to ride 100km on stationary bikes, raising funds and awareness for rural children’s health. With the stunning ocean backdrop and a crowd of enthusiastic supporters, the event was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when communities come together for a cause.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our riders, we raised $100,000 to help Royal Far West deliver vital developmental and mental health services to children in rural and remote communities.

Highlights from the Day:

  • James Griffin MP rode more than 35 kilometres, showing his strong support for country kids.
  • Jacqui Emery, CEO of Royal Far West, also jumped on a bike to ride for the cause.
  • Manly Village Public School students peddled with heart, bringing youthful energy and joy to the event.
  • Our corporate teams took part, each riding 100km to honour our centenary and raise funds: Belle Property, ANZ, Multiplex, WOTSO, Sorsix, Mills Oakley, Healius Limited, Allan Hall Business Advisors, Roxy-Pacific Holdings Pte Ltd, imei, Cub Campers
  • Attendees had the chance to spin the prize wheel, enjoy giveaways, and cheer on the riders.

The Spin Off Challenge shines a light on the challenges faced by children in rural areas – including long wait times, limited access to early intervention, and a shortage of local services. With 190,000 children in very remote areas up to twice as likely to start school developmentally vulnerable, the need for action is urgent.

Funds raised from the event will help Royal Far West expand its reach and continue delivering services via telehealth and in-community programs, improving outcomes for children and families across Australia.

Thank you to everyone who rode, cheered, donated and supported. Together, we’re spinning hope and going beyond for country kids.
