A recent external evaluation of our Schools and Early Years Services has demonstrated some considerable outcomes for country kids and their families, including:

  • Over 85% of children achieving their therapy goals.
  • Over 90% of educators agree they gained skills and confidence in supporting children with additional needs.
  • Additionally, 88% of parents and carers reported that they learned skills and strategies, and as a result, felt better equipped to support their child’s learning and healthy development.

As millions of schoolchildren and their families return to school after the summer break, Royal Far West is calling on the government to commit to long-term funding for its services, ensuring that every child can flourish, no matter the postcode.

“Investing in early intervention services for country children builds not only their futures but also the resilience and prosperity of rural communities and the whole nation,” says Royal Far West CEO, Jacqui Emery. “Our services have a proven track record of making a real difference, and we are committed to helping as many country children as possible start school ready to learn.”
