Royal Far West CEO, Jacqui Emery, said, “We are excited and honoured to welcome the Governor-General as the new Patron of Royal Far West. Her passion for social justice and equality aligns perfectly with our mission of improving the health and wellbeing of children who live in rural and remote communities.
“Her patronage is especially significant given Royal Far West is celebrating 100 years of service to country kids this year, highlighting our longevity and dedication to improving the lives of country children.”
The Governor-General said, “I am delighted to accept the invitation to serve as Royal Far West’s new Patron. Their efforts to improve the developmental and mental health of children in rural and remote Australia is vitally important.
“Celebrating 100 years of service to country children and their families is a significant accomplishment. Education and healthcare are essential for children to flourish, and it is inspiring to see Royal Far West’s enduring impact over many years in helping country kids reach their full potential.”
Jacqui Emery added, “We are incredibly grateful for the Governor-General’s support to our organisation. Too many country children are missing out on vital services they need early in life. We are looking forward to working together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of country children and their families.”
