Royal Far West had the honour of joining Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, at Government House in Canberra to celebrate her patronage and mark the close of our 100th year of caring for country kids.
Our CEO, Jacqui Emery, was joined by members of our leadership team: Mark Driessen (Chief Operating Officer), Kim Casburn (General Manager, Schools and Community), Danielle Chapman (General Manager, Fundraising, Marketing & Advocacy), and Joan Treweeke (Chair of the Board of Directors). Together, they represented the strength and vision of Royal Far West as we step into our next century of service.
The event was filled with joy and community spirit. Children and teachers from schools we collaborate with performed a heartfelt rendition of Waltzing Matilda, while our Occupational Therapists led games and workshops that showcased the therapy-based activities making a real difference in rural communities.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Governor-General for her time and generosity in inviting us to Government House. This milestone celebration reflects the enduring legacy of Royal Far West and our commitment to going beyond for country kids and their families.
Here’s to the next 100 years of care, connection, and impact.
