Panel discussion 1, L to R – The Hon. Zali Steggall MP,
Elizabeth Elliott, Luke McNamara, Nicole Breeze,
Jacqueline Emery, Darby Salter and Scott Baker.
Together we showcased a compelling short film on the impacts of floods and bushfires, and hosted an impactful panel discussion shedding light on the stark reality children are facing in the wake of climate change.
Experiencing a traumatic event like a flood, bushfire or drought can have a devastating long-term impact on a child’s wellbeing.
As our environment undergoes profound transformations, children face unique economic, mental and emotional challenges.
Providing essential services to address these needs is vital.
RFW is calling on the Federal Government to support long-term sustainable funding for its Community Recovery Services, to ensure children with complex adverse reactions are getting the ongoing support they need.
