Running for Country Kids: Thank You, Francois!

Francois Fournier’s Bondi to Manly Ultra raised $1,325 to help deliver vital care to country kids.

On Saturday 25 October, Francois Fournier took on the Johnson & Johnson Bondi to Manly Ultra – an 80km endurance run along Sydney’s iconic coastline –with a powerful purpose: to raise funds for country kids.

Francois not only completed the gruelling course in just 9 hours, placing in the top 20% of runners, but also beat his previous time by an impressive 1 hour and 20 minutes. Alongside this personal achievement, he created a fundraising page to support Royal Far West, rallying friends and family to raise $1,325 for children in rural and remote communities.
Francois shared that he was looking to support an Australian children’s charity—and after researching online (with a little help from ChatGPT!), he discovered Royal Far West and chose to make a meaningful impact through his run.

The funds raised will help us continue delivering vital health and developmental services to country kids through our telehealth programs, in-community visits, and on-site care at the Centre for Country Kids in Manly.

We’re incredibly grateful to Francois for his dedication, generosity and inspiring effort. Every step he took helps bring care closer to the children who need it most.
