Healthy Kids Bus Stop

Important notice

Observing the strict COVID-19 guidelines, Royal Far West has restarted outreach to rural and remote communities. Our Clinicians-in-Community program is in Condobolin and will soon be visiting the Parkes district, Bourke and Cobar. Our renowned Paediatric Developmental Program is heading out to Broken Hill and Coffs Harbour in November and December. Multiple communities have requested our early childhood health screening program, the Healthy Kids Bus Stop, and we are looking to resume this program as soon as we can in the New Year.

Healthy Kids Bus Stop is a comprehensive health screening program aimed at children 3-5 years of age, run in partnership with local communities. Using the RMHC Care Mobile, a specialist team of health professionals comes to you. The program offers comprehensive screening that aims to identify developmental issues and provide a pathway to care for children to support their transition to school. This program is particularly beneficial in remote communities with limited services.
