Royal Far West Clinician’s recently visited Manildra Public School, delivering a range of supports designed to strengthen children’s wellbeing and resilience. The visit brought together expertise from speech pathology, occupational therapy and social work to deliver evidence-based support to students, families and educators. 

Throughout the week, the team conducted individual therapy sessions and assessments, helping children access specialist healthcare services within their local community. 

Families were invited to participate in a parent workshop focused on healthy development in the early years, while educators attended a professional learning session exploring practical strategies for supporting children experiencing anxiety, fear and worry. 

Manildra Public School was one of two new schools introduced to the Disaster Ready Fund project in 2026. Having previously accessed Royal Far West services in 2024, the school community was already familiar with telehealth and service delivery processes, helping to create a smooth and productive visit. 

By working directly with schools, families and children, Royal Far West is helping to build stronger, more resilient communities and reduce the risk of long-term adverse outcomes.
