When disasters happen, children can be affected in many different ways. That’s why it’s vital they receive the right support — at the right time.
Royal Far West offers evidence-based support to children, their families and communities impacted by disasters.
Our goal? To strengthen resilience, promote wellbeing and reduce the risk of long-term adverse effects.
The Royal Far West team recently visited Bedgerabong Public School, providing support to children, educators and families.
Highlights included:
- In-class support for individual students and an interactive classroom activity
- One-on-one engagement with parents and classroom teachers
- A workshop with parents/carers to support understanding and responding to children’s needs using the regulate, relate and reason framework
