A Day of Rugby and Heart: Forest Rugby Club Raises $12,500 for Country Kids

On 21 June, the field at Melwood Oval came alive with purpose and passion as Forest Rugby Club hosted its annual Charity Game Day—this year proudly supporting Royal Far West.

With the support of our Chief Operating Officer, Mark Driessen, and generous sponsorship from Whiteley Corporation, the day was a roaring success.

It was a day to remember, featuring competitive matches against the University of New South Wales, with the first-grade team proudly wearing Royal Far West designed jerseys. These jerseys weren’t just for show: they were later auctioned off, with 100% of proceeds going directly to support our work.

Our team also ran a half-time raffle, with six lucky winners taking home prizes, and a special framed jersey was presented to our CEO, Jacqueline Emery, in recognition of the partnership and shared commitment to community wellbeing.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved—players, supporters, sponsors, and volunteers—an amazing $12,500 was raised to support country kids.

Thank you, Forest Rugby Club, for your support and heart – we’re so grateful to be part of your community.
