Disability Support Services and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
We provide early intervention and support services for children with disability aged 0-12 years living in regional and remote locations. Work with our expert clinicians to develop a program that is tailored to your child’s unique needs. We offer a broad range of services including
Behaviour support: support regulation, coping with emotions
Motor Skills: support the development of foundational skills (core activation, midline crossing, bilateral coordination, vestibular integration) and fine and gross motor skills
Play skills: support regulation, use of sensory strategies during play, empathy/comments, problem solving, turn waiting Regulation: strategies to support children in achieving and maintaining a regulated state
Self-care skills: support developing independence with self-care skills, support routine / foundational skills required for self-care skills

Emotion regulation and Understanding My Brain Parent training 1x 60 minute session with child and 1x 60 minute session with parent/carer, ideally joint with Occupational Therapist
Introduction to Emotion Coaching based on the work of Gottman and the Tuning in to Kids group program.

Pictures of Me. Following a workbook style format Pictures of Me is a resource developed by Carol Gray that guides a series of activities (social story and comic strip conversations) designed to introduce your child to their personality, talents and diagnosis.

Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
Expressive language: building the social purpose for communication, parent training on language stimulation strategies, shared book reading, use of sign, written communication
Receptive language: provide strategies to support child’s understanding of language, teaching of basic concepts,
Play and social communication: build symbolic understanding, ability to sequence actions, being able to engage in back and forth interaction, target pragmatics through video playback and parent training
Speech sounds: phonology, articulation, apraxia, literacy & phonological awareness

We offer a range of service delivery options including programs in your community, via phone and internet technologies or onsite at our Manly headquarters, where we provide accommodation for families and a calm, supportive environment close to the beach. Delivery options vary by service type.
