Petra holds a Masters in Health Services Management from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Occupational Therapy (Honours) from Sydney University.

Petra has held a number of positions within the health system, most recently as Operations Manager and Acting Service Director at BreastScreen, Sydney South West Area Health Service. She has also worked as a Project Manager on the state-wide Opioid Treatment Program Quality Assurance Project, where she worked to develop a reaccreditation program for doctors who prescribe methadone.

While completing her Masters, Petra was part of the Sydney South West Area Health Service Graduate Health Management Program. During this time, she held a number of roles in Hospital and Area Health Service Executives and worked on a number of projects, including the Bankstown Hospital Aged Care Day Hospital Redevelopment, the Older Person’s and Aged Care Clinical Redesign Project and the Orthopaedic Threshold Pricing Project, which was a finalist for a NSW Health Award.

Petra’s focus is on developing systems and processes for the clinical service to better support clinicians to provide quality health services to children from rural and remote areas.
