Events
The Giving Tree
In 2006 Royal Far West was delighted to join with 702 ABC in its Giving Tree promotion. Generous ABC listeners delivered thousands of gifts to the ABC studios in Sydney and the Central Coast. The strong network of RFW volunteers, health care workers, branch members and community leaders saw presents delivered to families in areas such as Bourke, Broken Hill and Temora.
Many of the families we reached were finding times tough because of the drought or other hardship.
In 2007 Royal Far West is again the recipient of Giving Tree gifts and will be using a similar network to get the presents delivered across the State – into homes where the need is strong and across land where the drought is devastating.
This year people also have the option of donating an ABC Shop voucher to the Giving Tree online
