Launch
Royal Far West launched its powerful and emotive new brand logo on 11th February 2009 at the historic Mint, Macquarie Street Sydney, to some 150 guests including politicians, business leaders, health professionals, dignitaries, celebrities, the media and Royal Far West patients. The simple and engaging logo which communicates who Royal Far West help and personifies the organisation’s vision of ‘healthy country children’ was unveiled by internationally acclaimed singer and 2008 Australian of the Year, Lee Kernaghan.

Integral to the launch was the unveiling of Royal Far West’s Champions for Country Kids. The Champions come from a variety of backgrounds and personify the connection between hard work, perseverance and success and are great role models for country children.   Champion for Country Kids and well known bush poet, Murray Hartin, commenced the official proceedings by reciting the poem he wrote especially for Royal Far West.

The Veech family from Carinda whose two children are patients at Royal Far West shared with guests the anxiety they felt and difficulties they experienced when they realised that their children needed specialist medical care.  In a poignantly choreographed move the family assumed their positions on stage beside an iconic windmill to form a living representation of the new Royal Far West logo.  In just thirty minutes the launch communicated the vital role of Royal Far West and took the organisation from a strong past to a powerful bright future and concluded on a high note with Lee Kernaghan entertaining everyone with his hit song “Boys from the Bush”.
