Please note that due to the overwhelming number of referrals received in 2011 and the large numbers of children already awaiting assessment, we deeply regret that for the first half of this year we are only able to accept referrals (for developmental services) for children residing in remote or very remote NSW.
The Australian Standard Geographical Classification – Remoteness Areas (ASGC-RA) classification for each town can be checked at the following Australian Government Website: http://www.health.gov.au/internet/otd/publishing.nsf/Content/locator
This is applicable to any referrals or enquiries received between 1 December 2011 and 1 July 2012.

To access our services you will need a referral from your local doctor.
Once this referral is received, an information pack will be sent to you with both a parent questionnaire and consent form, and a school questionnaire. The parent questionnaire and consent form needs to be returned by you. The school questionnaire is to be completed and returned by the school that your child attends.
When these fully completed forms are received by Royal Far West, the referral will be assessed against Royal Far West eligibility criteria. If the referral is accepted, you and your local referring doctor will be notified in writing that your child has been placed on the waiting list for services.
Access to the orthodontics program requires a specific referral from a dentist or dental therapist. Children must be assessed as meeting the clinical criteria for entry to the orthodontics service. Further information on our Orthodontics Service can be obtained on 02 8966 8562.
