how can i help

Royal Far West is a not-for-profit organisation that receives some government support, however we depend on the generosity of individuals, corporations and community groups to help us care for country kids.

Your support will make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of country children. No donation is too small and donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Volunteers

Volunteers play an integral role in our organisation. We are very fortunate to be supported by both individual and corporate volunteers who participate in a range of activities. Some which involve the children, include sibling care, arts and crafts and transport. Other activities include gardening, painting and administrative assistance.

Branches

Royal Far West is supported by a network of Branches which are located across NSW. The main functions of the Branches are service promotion and fundraising. Please call us if you would like the contact details of your closest Branch.

All Opportunity Shops accept donations of quality clothing, bric-a-brac and books. In addition, the Forbes Shop accepts donations of furniture, pickles and jams. The Opportunity Shops cannot accept electrical appliances and poor quality items. If you have any questions about donations, please contact the Opportunity Shops directly. Your generosity in donating to or volunteering at our Opportunity Shops helps us care for country kids.

Fundraising

Royal Far West is seeking companies, businesses and community groups to support their vital work for country kids. If you would like to find out about fundraising or conducting a fundraising event for Royal Far West, please contact us on 02 8966 8500. In keeping with the requirements of the Charitable Fundraising Act, all fundraising activity conducted on behalf of Royal Far West must be prospectively authorised by the organisation.

Bequest

You can help us continue and expand our services that enhance the health and well being of country children by leaving a bequest to Royal Far West. Your bequest of memorium donation will help future generations of country children to access our services. Royal Far West recommends that when making a will you seek professional advice from a solicitor.

Options for including Royal Far West as a beneficiary in your will include leaving a set amount of money, a percentage of your estate, the residence of your estate or your whole estate. Every bequest will be administered by the Board of Royal Far West to ensure maximum benefit to the care and wellbeing of country children.
