Sea Eagles and kids celebrate Christmas

14-Dec-2011

Royal Far West is celebrating Christmas early today with its young patients treated
to a Christmas party this afternoon.

A highlight of the party will be a visit by members from the premiership-winning
Manly Sea Eagles team.

Royal Far West CEO Lindsay Cane said Christmas was a special time and
especially enjoyable and important for children.

“With support from the Sea Eagles and other generous community members we
are able to give our young patients and their families a real Christmas treat,” Ms
Cane said.

“It’s great to see the kids enjoying themselves and having a break from what can
be very demanding healthcare appointments during their time with us.

“Of course, there are gifts and food to share and we hope the party creates
some special memories for our young patients.”

Children at this year’s Christmas party came from across country NSW including
towns such as Hay, Lightning Ridge and Cowra.

Other supporters of the party included NAB branches in Dee Why, Brookvale and
Manly, 1st Burwood Scout Group and Avondale Golf Club.
