ABC Local Radio Giving Tree helps Royal Far West grant wish

 

 

The Children of Royal Far West thank the listeners of 702 ABC and ABC Local
Radio for supporting the Giving Tree Christmas appeal. Every year thousands of children benefit from receiving care in a warm and caring environment provided by Royal Far West.

Since 1924 Royal Far West has been providing a unique service to the children living in rural and isolated country NSW. Royal Far West provides health care, accommodation and education, to children who would not be able to access medical and dental treatment locally.

Every child deserves the right to essential healthcare no matter where they live.

Every child deserves the right to essential healthcare no matter where they
live. Here’s how can you help:

 

  • $25 will purchase art and craft supplies for use by children visiting our accommodation facility, Drummond House.
  • $50 will buy an educational learning toy that can be used in treatment.
  • $75 will buy a computer game that assists with motor skill development.
  • $100 will enable one child to receive one day of treatment with our specialist clinicians.
  • $150 surprise us! Make a wish come true.
  • $250 will enable a child and their family to take part in a recreation activities program.
  • $350 will provide a child with one comprehensive dental treatment including orthodontic work.
  • $500 will enable a child and their family to receive treatment and accommodation for three days at Royal Far West.
  • $600 will sponsor a family for a week’s break by the sea in January.
  • $1000 will buy one laptop to enable teleconferencing. This facilitates follow-up consultations and ongoing communication between our rural patients and our Manly-based clinicians.
  • $1500 will support the purchase of specialist reading material for children staying in Drummond House during treatment.
  • $3000 will support one whole day of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® to provide clinical treatment and
    healthy education in a country town.
